ATTAINABLE HOUSING STAKEHOLDER SUMMIT

About the Summit
The 2025 Housing Summit brought together housing practitioners, planning staff, and elected officials from across Chatham County, its municipalities, and surrounding counties to address the critical housing challenges facing the region.
With a focus on the region’s diverse urban, suburban, and exurban communities, the Summit explored key issues including rapid population growth, outdated zoning regulations, and the urgent need to strengthen the region’s housing supply.
It also highlighted the importance of political will and leadership in driving policy initiatives, while fostering stronger collaboration and commitment from both the public and private sectors to support sustainable housing efforts. Together, participants worked to identify actionable solutions that bridge policy and resource gaps to meet the growing demand for housing across the Southeast Coastal region.
